I Love Mahendranagar
आवश्यक कुरा

व्यावहारिक जानकारी

कनेक्टिभिटी, स्वास्थ्य, मौसम, चाडपर्व र यात्रा सहज बनाउने साना कुरा।

SIM cards & connectivity

Nepal Telecom (NTC) and Ncell provide mobile coverage in Mahendranagar. Buy a prepaid SIM at an official shop with your passport (foreign nationals) or citizenship/ID (Nepali and Indian nationals). Data is inexpensive.

Wi-Fi is common in hotels and cafes but can be slow. Mobile signal switches to an Indian network near the border — watch for roaming charges.

Health & safety

  • Drink bottled or filtered water; avoid tap water.
  • Use mosquito repellent, especially near wetlands and in the evening.
  • Hospitals and clinics operate in Bhimdatta/Mahendranagar; serious cases may be referred to Dhangadhi or across the border.
  • Mahendranagar is generally safe and friendly. Keep normal precautions: secure valuables, avoid isolated areas at night, and be careful with your passport.
  • Travel insurance that covers medical evacuation is strongly recommended.
